A continuous high-adrenaline and nature-focused retreat through the paragliding capital of India and raw Barot wilderness.
Day
01The Bir Vibe, Monasteries & Sunset Landing
Arrival & Cafe Fuel
Check into the stay, freshen up, and head out to the main Tibetan Colony street. Give the group 2 hours of open time to explore the famous cafe lane (spots like Silver Linings or June 16) to grab breakfast, soak in the traveler energy, and take photos.
Cultural Contrast (Chokling & Sherabling)
Gather the group and start at Chokling Monastery right in the town hub. It’s colorful, easy to access, and perfect for a casual group walk. Next, take a short scenic drive through the pine forests to Sherabling Monastery in Bhattu. The massive scale of this hidden forest monastery feels completely different from the main town and offers an incredibly peaceful vibe.
Flight Mode & Landing Site Vibe
Drive up to the Billing take-off point. Group briefing, gear up, and launch for the Paragliding session. Everyone lands directly at the Landing Site just in time for sunset. This is the prime hangout space—grab some snacks, sit on the open grass, listen to music, and watch the sky change color with the group.
Day
02Waterfalls, The Holy Fish Pitstop & Entry to Barot
The Secret Splash (Gunehar & Bangoru)
Start the morning with a trek to Gunehar Waterfall. Explore the rocky trail and check out the local terrain. Pro-Tip: Since the group is already in adventure mode, make a quick bonus stop at nearby Bangoru Waterfall right after, so anyone who wants to dive into a clear, refreshing pool gets the chance.
The Drive to Barot via Machial Lake
Check out from Bir and start the winding mountain drive towards Barot Valley. Pull over at the sacred roadside spot Machial Lake for a quick 10-minute leg stretch. It’s an incredible sight to see the massive, ancient Himalayan Golden Mahseer fish crowding the holy pool. Keep it strictly observant—a quick look, respect the local faith, no harm to the ecosystem, and jump back in the traveler.
Riverside Chill at Barot Dam
Arrive in Barot Valley and check into your riverside camps. Head straight to the Barot Dam and Uhl River area. Walk along the old reservoir structures, feel the crisp mountain breeze, and let the group hang out by the banks of the rushing river.
Bonfire & Riverside Campsite
A classic outdoor night by the Uhl River with a bonfire, music, and stargazing in the deep valley.
Day
03Raw Wilderness & Fresh Catch
The Trail to Lapas
After breakfast, head out for the light 15-minute trek to Lapas Waterfall. Walking through the traditional wooden villages, local farms, and raw dirt trails gives the group a genuine taste of uncommercialized old Himachal. The waterfall pool here is pristine and tucked away, making it a great spot for final group photos.
The Famous Barot Trout Lunch
Before heading back, sit down at a local riverside camp or farm for a fresh, locally sourced trout fish lunch (a global highlight of Barot Valley). It’s the perfect authentic culinary finish to the trip.
Departure
Pack up the bags, board the traveler, and start the journey back with a fully sorted itinerary.
